Delicious, crunchy BLTs that don't ruin your budget and are on the table in 20 minutes!

These BLTs are the perfect dinner for a busy night, when you don't have time to stand over the stove. Using the oven to cook the bacon and toast the buns, all you'll need to do is chop produce and assemble these sandwiches. These pair perfectly with some frozen fries in the air fryer, a salad, or simply some chips from a bag!
Super Simple BLTs
Serves 4
Ingredients
1 Package of bacon
A loaf of bread (any kind, but bakery bread elevates this simple recipe!)
Lettuce
2 Roma Tomatoes
Mayo (1 TBSP per sandwich for topping)
Directions
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees (or whatever the directions on the bacon package say. This varies by brand a cut). Line bacon on a baking sheet while oven in heating.
Once oven is preheated, add bacon and bake for recommenced time on the package. This is usually 15-20 minutes.
While bacon is cooking, chop lettuce and tomatoes. Cook or prep any side you plan to eat with the BLTs now as well.
When bacon is crispy, remove from tray and place on a paper towel lined plate. Put the oven to broil. Remove most of the bacon grease, leaving just enough for the pan to be greased.
Add any kind of bread slices to the pan and broil for 1-2 minutes, flip, and broil other side for another 1-2 minutes.
Once bread is toasted, assemble sandwiches with mayo, lettuce, tomato, and bacon. Salt and pepper to taste.
You can use any kind of bread for these, from bagged store brand slices to bakery sourdough! This is a great way to meet your exact budget needs. I usually purchase bakery bread for $4.99, and also purchased by bacon for $4.99. This meal costs about $13 total at my grocery store to make the sandwiches, with extra lettuce and bread to make other meals.
